Calla Lily colored socks...

Yarn is from Sundara, pattern is my own.

General Pattern Notes
Toe Up
sz 1/2.25mm needles

Cast on 24 stitches per Knitty/Judy O's magic cast on.
Increase 4 stitches every other row until 64 stitches. Knit for 2.5"(?) (to just past biggest part of my foot).
Then decrease 4 stitches every other row 2 times until 56 stitches remain.
Knit 2x2 ribbing on instep and st. st. on sole until foot is __" long.
Make heel using Lucy Neatby's Garter Stitch heel over 60% of the stitches (62 stitches)
Leg is 2x2 ribbing.
Cast off starting with 2 knit stitches of the 2x2 ribbing:
Step 1: Knit 2 stitches. Return both stitches to left needle. K2tog.
Step 2: Purl 1 stitch. Return both stitches on right needle to left needle. P2tog.
Step 3: repeat step 2
Step 4: Knit 2 stitch. Return both stitches on right needle to left needle. K2tog.
Step 5: repeat step 4

Repeat steps 2 through 5 until all stitches are bound off except 1. Pick up a stitch from the beginning of bound off section and place it and remaining stitch on left needle. K2tog. Cut yarn, leaving a tail long enough to weave in and draw through loop of remaining stitch. Draw tight.

Weave in end. Done!

A socket or two

IT Boy has been teaching me some new vocabulary...mobo and sockets. I said I rather liked the sockets I knitted better. Here at last is a picture of my Potmatomus socks! I like them because they really hug my feet. Some of my earlier socks have loosened up.

Holiday knitting OTN:

Malagaiter - in Art Yarn Ultramerino.

Socks - plain 2x2 ribbed socks from hand dyed merino/tencel using Lucy Neatby's garter heel and trying a 56 stitch circumference.

Forest Canopy Shawl - hand dyed merino...actually not OTN yet, but soon.
