pictures at last

I present the chevron scarf....After a brief rest from socks, I'm back on the wagon...
Pattern: Monkey Socks by Cookie A.
Yarn: Apple Laine - Apple Pie (merino, silk, mohair)

I love the yarn as it is very fluffy and the pair of socks I knit earlier with it is wonderfully warm. In fact it was so warm when I wore them on Sunday to church, I was so sleepy the whole time!

I'm on Ravelry! Look for inkyimpressions.

Picture Day!

Look! An almost FO. A brown vest to match a shirt I have.

Pattern: Seda Vest from Knit Picks.

Yarn: Swish Superwash

5 skeins

Size 6 needles

About 3 yds of yarn left over. Whew, so close, but I made it. Here are some pictures of my latest stash additions.

At OFF I only bought 2 skeins of yarn and both are from Blue Moon:
Then a quick visit to Twisted added this merino sock yarn. It was so cool to find these self patterning and in soft merino!
Then there was this yummy confection from Loopy Ewe
Whew! That's all for now....still gotta go find that chevron scarf picture.

Baby Sweater FO...

It has been a long time since my last post, but I've been busy! Summer ended with a big bang - Family Camp with Living Hope Bible Church. Fun! I helped with Kids Camp which included me having to tell them my age (old) and showing them that I cannot hoola hoop.

I gave the baby sweater to a dear friend of mine who had a baby boy on Sept. 20th. Very sweet baby, hope he likes the sweater.

I frogged the 1x1 scarf...I lost interest in the repetition after a couple of inches.

I also started and finished a chevron scarf using STR lightweight - lemon grass and flower power. Turned out nice and it will be a gift for a certain niece of mine.

[just imagine the photo until I find where I stashed it on the hard drive.]

Finished, with a bit of groaning about the blocking, was a Hemlock blanket - also a gift for someone. I want to make another lap blanket, but not with the wavy edging - it was a pain to block.

OTN:

Montego Bay Scarf

Cobblestone Pullover

socks - Tofutsie yarn

FLAK (yes, still not done yet)

Secret Stuff - a.k.a. various Christmas presents...

Additions to the craft room....

...or "how to stuff more in the closet".

I've been doing a little enlarging of my stash and one of my favorites is Wine Stains from Make One Studio

I also bought a pattern for a felted bag - Bar Harbor Shell Bag

I loved the book Simply Shetland 4 and found it when we were on vacation!

I had to get one of the wonderful bags at piddleloop, perfect for carrying sock knitting projects.

It's a Sockapalooza Party

We returned from our vacation to the beach and today I went to pick up our accumulated mail. Jackpot! Look at this box...

I tried to be real cool and not rip it open right away. I was right to savor it, like really good key lime pie.

Whee! Look at the socky goodness. A big thanks to Marie -France for all the wonderful goodies and the socks, oh the socks! Monkey sock pictures have been shown on so many blogs which has induced coveting on my part so it has been on my to-knit list (a very long list) for a while.

They fit so nicely and they're knit from yummy Colinette Jitterbug yarn.
And there are stitch markers...
and candy... and more yarn, soap, candy. Sigh, the goodness of it all. I am overwhelmed so I will go sit and savor it all.
